| | | | | | | | OBJECTIVE
For the Garden Grove City Council to accept Project No. S-1157- Replacement of 103 Water Gate Valves as complete, and authorize the City Manager to execute the Notice of Completion of Public Improvement and Work. |
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND
The City has replaced 103 water gate valves that were outdated, broken in place, and inoperable in order to have proper operation and maintenance of the water system. |
| | | | | | | | DISCUSSION
The contractor, West Coast Backhoe Services, Inc., has completed the improvements in accordance with the plans, specifications and other contract documents. The project was funded with Water Funds. |
| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL IMPACT
The project was completed within budget and schedule. The retention payment will be released after recordation of the Notice of Completion with the County of Orange. |
| | | | | | | | RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council:
- Accept Project No. S-1157- Replacement of 103 Water Gate Valves as complete;
- Authorize the City Manager to execute the Notice of Completion of Public Works Improvement and Work; and
- Authorize the Finance Director to release the retention payment when appropriate to do so.
