| | | | | | | | OBJECTIVE
To secure City Council authorization to purchase two (2) Public Works Department vehicles from National Automotive Fleet Group through the Sourcewell Purchasing Competitive Bid Program, contract 091521-NAF. |
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND
The Fiscal Year 2023-2024 budget included the purchase of two (2) regular cab half ton pick up trucks to support Custodial Services to perform operational duties and transport equipment to various City facilities. In the past, this section has had to borrow vehicles from other sections or utilize vehicles that were aged-out of the fleet. |
| | | | | | | | DISCUSSION
A bid was obtained for two (2) 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 trucks through Sourcewell Cooperative Purchasing, who nationally solicits, evaluates and awards contracts under contract 09152-NAF. Past experience has shown that that the City's buying power is enhanced through joining with other public agencies to purchase fleet vehicles and equipment.

*This price is for both trucks and includes all applicable tax and destination charges. |
| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no impact to the General Fund. These additions to the City fleet were included in the Fleet Fund's Fiscal Year 2023-2024 operating budget. Total cost for these vehicles will be $81,836.74. Future replacement costs for the vehicles will be factored in and collected through the equipment rental rate during the budget process. |

It is recommended that the City Council:
- Authorize the Finance Director to issue a purchase order for $81,836.74 to National Auto Fleet Group for the purchase of two (2) new vehicles.
