DISCUSSION
The Local Signal Traffic Synchronization Plan (Plan) is a local program consistent with the Regional Traffic Signal Synchronization Master Plan which provides a three-year plan identifying traffic signal synchronization, street routes and traffic signals to be improved in eligible jurisdictions. The Plan will outline the costs associated with the identified improvements, funding and phasing of capital, and the operations and maintenance of the street routes and traffic signals. The full Plan will be available for public review at the City Manager’s Conference Room.
The proposed submittal is comprised of a resolution demonstrating that the Plan will be adopted by the City Council before June 30, 2023 and that it will be updated every three years thereafter. A completed Local Signal Synchronization Plan Consistency Review Checklist has also been included to establish consistency between the Local Signal Synchronization Plan and the Regional Traffic Signal Synchronization Master Plan. The adoption of a Local Signal Synchronization Plan for Fiscal Years 2023-24 to 2025-26 including all required elements, as identified in the “Guidelines for the Preparation of Local Signal Synchronization Plans” has been incorporated as well.
