For the City Council to reject all bids and authorize re-advertising of a bid for the Central Cities Navigation Center Project. |
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND
On February 6, 2023, the City advertised for a bid to develop and construct the Central Cities Navigation Center at 13871 West Street. Two bids were received on March 20, 2023, in the sums of $4,884,972.00 and $6,935,000.00. |
| | | | | | | | DISCUSSION
Both bids received have irregularities and may lead to protests. Staff recommends the rejection of all bids received and the re-advertisement of the project The bid documents and Public Contracts Code 20166 authorize the City Council to reject all bids and re-advertise. |
| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL IMPACT
The financial impact for rejecting all bids and re-advertising the project is minimal. |
| | | | | | | | RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council:
- Reject all bids received on Monday, March 20, 2023 for the Central Cities Navigation Center Project; and
- Authorize staff to re-advertise the project.
