| | | | | | | | OBJECTIVE
To obtain City Council approval to award a contract to Continental Flooring Company DBA Arizona Continental Flooring Company to replace the flooring at 11277 Garden Grove Boulevard (Purcell Building). |
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND
In August 2022, the City finalized the purchase of a commercial office building located at 11277 Garden Grove Boulevard. A walk-through inspection revealed that the current flooring is damaged beyond repair and must be replaced prior to any City department occupying the space. The floor in the proposed dedicated training area also needs to be stripped and the concrete grinded and sealed. |
| | | | | | | | DISCUSSION
On September 23, 2022, Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. S-1299 to Furnish All Labor, Material and Prep Work for the Installation of Carpeting at the Purcell Building and the Grind and Seal of the gym floor per the Bid Specifications, was released. Three companies submitted bids and after reviewing the bids, Continental Flooring Company DBA Arizona Continental Flooring Company was the lowest responsible bidder and met all of the City’s requirements.

This project will be funded by monies appropriated for the CIP-Civic Center Purcell Building Improvement. There will be no additional impact on the General Fund. |

It is recommended that the City Council:
- Award a contract to Continental Flooring Company DBA Arizona Continental Flooring Company in the amount of $99,888.00, and;
- Authorize the City Manager to execute the contract, and make minor modifications as appropriate.
