| | | | | | | | OBJECTIVE
For the Garden Grove Sanitary District Board to accept Project No. CP1245000 – Sewer System Rehabilitation Plan Phase I, Sewer Main Lining and Spot Repair Project 3 & 4 as complete, and authorize the General Manager to execute the Notice of Completion of Public Improvements and Work. |
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND
Sewer System Rehabilitation Plan Phase I, Sewer Main Rehabilitation Project 3 & 4 consisted of sewer lining for 22,030 linear feet of 8-inch diameter and 200 linear feet of 10-inch diameter sanitary sewer gravity piping by UV-cured glass reinforced plastic cured-in-place pipe (GRP-CIPP) liner. The project also included one open cut point repair; one 4-foot diameter manhole installation, 500 sewer lateral reinstatements and 23 top hat sewer lateral seals at indicated locations. |
| | | | | | | | DISCUSSION
The contractor, Tunnelworks Services Inc., has completed this project in accordance with the plans, specifications and other contract documents. |
| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL IMPACT
The project was funded with Sewer Funds and was completed within budget and on schedule. The retention payment will be released after recordation of the Notice of Completion with the County of Orange. |
| | | | | | | | RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council:

Accept Project No. CP1245000 - Sewer System Rehabilitation Plan Phase I, Sewer Main Lining and Repair Project 3 & 4 as complete, and authorize the General Manager to execute the Notice of Completion of Public Improvement and Work; and
-
Authorize the Finance Director to release the retention payment when appropriate to do so.
