| | | | | | | | OBJECTIVE
For the Garden Grove Sanitary District Board to accept Project No. CP1244000 – Sewer System Rehabilitation Plan Phase I, Sewer Main Replacement Project 2 & 3 as complete, and authorize the General Manager to execute the Notice of Completion of Public Improvements and Work. |
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND
Sewer System Rehabilitation Plan Phase I, Sewer Main Replacement Project 2 & 3 consisted of replacing approximately 3,450 linear feet of 8-inch, 560 linear feet of 12-inch and 620 linear feet of 15-inch diameter extra strength vitrified clay pipe, construction of 9 manholes, and modification of 16 existing manholes.
The project also included replacing sections of existing asbestos cement pipe water mains with PVC C-900 pipe. |
| | | | | | | | DISCUSSION
The contractor, Kordich Construction Inc., has completed this project in accordance with the plans, specifications and other contract documents. |
| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL IMPACT
The project was funded with Sewer Funds and was completed within budget and on schedule. The retention payment will be released after recordation of the Notice of Completion with the County of Orange. |
| | | | | | | | RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Sanitary District:
- Accept Project No. CP1244000 - Sewer System Rehabilitation Plan Phase I, Sewer Main Replacement Project 2 & 3 as complete, and authorize the General Manager to execute the Notice of Completion of Public Improvement and Work; and
- Authorize the Finance Director to release the retention payment when appropriate to do so.
