To transmit a letter from Tam Nguyen, President of the Garden Grove Community Foundation, and Jonathan Glant, Chair of the Board of Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce, requesting approval for a one-day use of the Willowick Golf Course for the annual fundraising golf tournament on Wednesday, September 28, 2022. |
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND
For the past 16 years, the Garden Grove Community Foundation (GGCF) and the Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) have partnered to host the GGCF/Chamber Golf Classic. This event is the largest and most significant fundraiser for both organizations. Funds raised help support GGCF annual events and sponsor local organizations, including the free summer concert series, Winter in the Grove, the Community Services annual Holiday Toy Drive and various community groups, as well as assisting the Chamber in promoting the Garden Grove business community and providing resources for tourists who visit Garden Grove. |

The GGCF and Chamber are requesting City Council consideration and approval for one-day use of the Willowick Golf Course for the annual Golf Classic fundraiser. |
| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL IMPACT
The non-profit rate for an all-day tournament with 144 players is $4,320. The GGCF and the Chamber are requesting this fee to be waived.

It is recommended that the City Council:
- Consider the GGCF and Chamber request for the one-day use and fee waiver of the Willowick Golf Course for the GGCF/Chamber Golf Classic event on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.
