For the City Council to approve the Cooperative Agreement between the City of Garden Grove and the City of Westminster for the rehabilitation of Hazard Avenue from Bushard Street to Ward Street. |
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND
The City of Garden Grove prepared a street rehabilitation project for Hazard Avenue, from Bushard Street to Ward Street, and has offered to improve the City of Westminster's portion. Approximately one-half of the work lies within the City of Westminster.
This proposed agreement provides delineation of responsibilities and construction costs between the City of Garden Grove and the City of Westminster for subject project. The City of Garden Grove is serving as lead agency. |
| | | | | | | | DISCUSSION
The City of Westminster has reviewed the plans, specifications, and construction estimate of the project and verified the work within the City of Westminster. The project cost for the City of Westminster's portion of the project is estimated at $521,285. |
| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL IMPACT
There will be no financial impact to the General Fund. This improvement is included in the FY 2021-22 Capital Improvement Budget and is funded by Measure "M2" Fairshare, Gas Tax and the City of Westminster funds. |
| | | | | | | | RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council:
- Approve the Cooperative Agreement with the City of Westminster for the rehabilitation of Hazard Avenue from Bushard Street to Ward Street; and
- Authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement and make minor modifications as appropriate thereto on behalf of the City.
