| | | | | | | | OBJECTIVE
For the City Council to adopt a Resolution for signature authority and approve an agreement with the County Sheriff Coroner's Office to receive grant funds sub-awarded through the California Office of Emergency Services. |
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND
Supplemental grant funding is now available as part of the 2020 EMP Grant to support comprehensive emergency management at the local level and to reimburse permissible expenditures. |
| | | | | | | | DISCUSSION
Adoption of the attached Resolution provides for signing authority for the 2020 EMP Grant. The grant supplemental funding will be used specifically to provide COVID-19 disaster cost recovery training for City staff. The County Sheriff Coroner's office is the lead agency disbursing grant funds and matching funds not to exceed $8,692 are required. |
| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL IMPACT
The financial impact is the matching fund amount of up to $8,692, which will be paid from the existing FY 2021-22 City budget. |
| | | | | | | | RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council:
- Adopt the Resolution designating signing authority of the agreement with the County Sheriff Coroner;
- Approve the 2020 Emergency Management Performance Grant Program COVID-19 Supplemental grant agreement with the County of Orange Sheriff Coroner; and
- Authorize the Police Chief, or Emergency Services Coordinator, or the Finance Director to sign the agreement on behalf of the City.
