OBJECTIVE

For City Council to accept Project No. S-1262 - perimeter fence replacement at the Atlantis Play Center at 13630 Atlantis Way, Garden Grove as complete.
BACKGROUND

On January 28, 2020, the City Council awarded a contract to California Landscape & Design, Inc., in the amount of $349,320 to replace the existing perimeter chain link fence at the Atlantis Play Center which had been in place for decades and was in need of replacement to improve security and safety for park patrons and City staff.
DISCUSSION

The contractor, California Landscape & Design, Inc., has completed the fence replacement project in accordance with the plans, specifications, and other contract documents.
FINANCIAL IMPACT

There is no financial impact to the General Fund.  The Project was completed within budget and funded through the Park Fee Fund.  The retention payments will be released after recordation of the Notice of Completion.
RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the City Council: 

 

  • Accept Project S-1262 - Perimeter fence replacement at the Atlantis Play Center as complete;

 

  • Authorize the City Manager to execute the Notice of Completion of Public Works Improvement and Work; and 

 

  • Authorize the Finance Director to release the retention payment when appropriate to do so.
