Acceptance of Street Deed for an easement for public street and highway purposes for the property located at 10232 Dakota Avenue, Garden Grove. (Action Item)

OBJECTIVE

To request City Council approval for the acceptance of an easement for public street and highway purposes in accordance with Precise Grading Plan G-1423 (the “Project”), for a portion of the real property located at 10232 Dakota Avenue, Garden Grove, owned by Peter H. Win and Toan B. Nguyen (“Owners”). 

BACKGROUND

On June 1, 2020, the Owners submitted grading plans for construction of a new, detached, two-story residential duplex on an R-2 zoned property located at 10232 Dakota Avenue. 

DISCUSSION

The conditions of approval for the project require the owners to dedicate the right-of-way at the northeast corner of Dakota Avenue and Bowen Street for future public street improvements. 

FINANCIAL IMPACT

There is no impact to the General Fund.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the City Council:

 

  • Approve and accept the easement for public street and highway purposes for a portion of the property located at 10232 Dakota Avenue, Garden Grove; and

 

  •  Authorize the City Clerk to accept the Street Deed on behalf of the City.
