DISCUSSION
California Code of Regulations, Title 2, Section 570.5 requires governing bodies of local agencies contracting with CalPERS to approve and adopt a publicly available pay schedule in accordance with public meeting laws.
In order to comply with the statutory and regulatory requirements for publicly available pay schedules, Garden Grove City Council is required to amend the salary schedule to reflect the current payrate for each job classification. This up-dated salary schedule is in accordance with the Memorandums of Understanding with Orange County Employee’s Association and League, Garden Grove Police Association and Garden Grove Police Management Association; and Middle and Central Management Resolutions.
