DISCUSSION
Staff would like to request City Council direction on how to proceed with the proposed Parade event by the TTCS and VAFSC. This request would require staff hours to be dedicated to gathering additional information on the proposed activities, determining the costs for staff and resources to support the proposed parade, and drafting a formal agreement between the City and organization to be approved by City Council at a future meeting.
Additionally, the request to hold the Parade would require various street closures in order to ensure the public's safety. The options provided would require business approvals and a set of approved traffic plans.
Lastly, the request to have two skydivers land at any of the proposed sites would need to be considered and approved by the Federal Aviation Administration, the Garden Grove Unified School District and City Council.
