|
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND
In 2018, the Community Services Department contracted Richard Fisher Associates (RFA) to develop a 15-year Parks, Recreation and Facilities Master Plan that would help guide
the City in the planning, maintenance, and development and/or
rehabilitation of Garden Grove parks and recreation facilities. |
| | | | | | | | DISCUSSION
The Community Services Department and consultant, RFA, have completed the final draft of a 15-year Parks, Recreation and Facilities Master Plan, which is available for review in the Community Services Department. The consultant, RFA, has prepared a presentation to review key findings and recommendations of the Master Plan.
The Parks, Recreation and Arts Commission reviewed the draft Master Plan at their meeting on October 2, 2019, and recommended transmittal to the City Council by a 5-2 vote with Commissioners No and Ramirez absent. |
| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL IMPACT
The Master Plan provides estimated costs for recommended improvements at city parks and facilities. These recommendations have no impact on the city's current General Fund budget. |
| | | | | | | | RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council:
