To secure City Council authorization to purchase two (2) utility trucks from Fritts Ford in the amount of $80,475.32. |
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND
Public Works is responsible for providing safe and reliable vehicles for all City departments. The Public Works Department currently has two (2) vehicles that meet the City’s guidelines for replacement. The planned replacement was approved through the Fiscal Year 2017/18 budget process. |
| | | | | | | | DISCUSSION
Specifications were prepared and sent to bidders in the Southern California area. Multiple bids were received. Pursuant to Garden Grove Municipal Code Section 2.50.060 and based on the City’s Public Works Department recommendations, the results deemed that Fritts Ford was the lowest responsive bid.

The financial impact is $80,475.32 to the Fleet Management Fund. There is no impact to the General Fund. The vehicles being replaced will be sold at public auction. |

It is recommended that the City Council:
- Authorize the Finance Director to issue a purchase order in the amount of $80,475.32 to Fritts Ford for the purchase of two (2) utility trucks.
