| | | | | | | | OBJECTIVE
The purpose of this report is for the City Council to consider adopting a resolution authorizing City staff to participate in the Association of California Cities-Orange County’s (ACC-OC) planning efforts regarding county-wide permanent supportive housing. |
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND
The ACC-OC has been coordinating meetings regarding issues related to the County-wide issue of homelessness. As a result, ACC-OC provided a proposed resolution for all Orange County cities to authorize their city staffs to engage in discussions in an effort to identify potential ideas and potential regional solutions. |
| | | | | | | | DISCUSSION
The proposed Resolution would authorize Garden Grove staff to represent the City in those meetings and discussions. The Resolution would not, however, authorize City staff to commit the City to a proposed allocation of permanent supportive housing units or a plan of site locations unless such allocation or plan is considered and approved by the City Council. |

None. This resolution only authorizes participation in meetings.

It is recommended that the City Council:
- Consider adopting the attached Resolution authorizing City staff to participate in the ACC-OC’s planning efforts regarding county-wide permanent supportive housing.
